This Korean short film about plastic surgery will scare you

In a society where perfection is everything, people are forced to conform and seek that ‘perfection’ the society dictates. Hopeless and pressured, they will turn to plastic surgery.

Youtube account Viddsee posted a short film about beauty and surgery.

Two beautiful young women desperately wanted to undergo a plastic surgery. The first girl, Inhyung Chung, was not allowed by the surgeon to get her features altered. She reasoned that what Inhyung wanted was impossible and the services might cost more than what she could pay. Dejected, she went home. The viewers can see the appearance of a surgeon – a grotesque figure with pointy nose, chin and mask-like appearance.

When she goes home, we can see that her family looks the same. It would seem that everyone in the society is surgically altered. It appears that Inhyung is the only person in the family who had not undergone surgery. It also appears that her friend got the look she wanted.

In desperation, she agreed with a research that needed participants for the surgery. The audience sees the face of Inhyung, bandaged and bloody. At the end of the film, she went home and her family seemed shocked with what they saw.
